The US President Barack Obama is likely to address the winter session of Parliament on 9th November. The session is scheduled to start on 8th November. Speaking to reporters today, the Parliamentary affairs minister Pawan Kumar Bansal said modalities are being worked out for the US President's address to the joint session. Replying a volley of questions, Mr Bansal strongly criticised the mock parliament conducted by some members. Describing it as unfortunate, he said that it is worst moment in the Parliamentary democracy.Giving details of the business transacted during the monsoon session which concluded yesterday, Mr Bansal said 24 bills were passed during the session by the two houses. They include Civil Liability for Nuclear damage bill and MPs salary bill as well. He said the two houses took up discussion on important issues including Bhopal gas disaster and situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
