US President Donald Trump has called on Saudi Arabia to end its Yemen blockade immediately, citing humanitarian concerns. <br/><br/>He said in a statement that he has directed US officials to call Saudi Arabian leaders and request they completely allow food, fuel, water and medicine to reach the Yemeni people. He said Yemenis desperately need it. <br/><br/>Last month, Saudi Arabia enhanced its blockade on Yemen after Houthi rebels fired a missile on the Saudi capital of Riyadh.<br/><br/>Under international pressure, Saudi Arabia partially lifted the blockade, and the first aid shipments since the blockade arrived last week. <br/><br/>Seven million people are believed to be on the brink of famine and a cholera outbreak has caused more than 2,000 deaths.
