The United States plans to circulate a new tougher UN Security Council resolution on North Korea soon and seek a vote next Monday. This was stated by the US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley at an emergency Security Council meeting in New York yesterday.<br/><br/> She called for swift action by the Security Council. UN sources said talks are likely to focus on tightening limits on the number of North Korean laborers in China, Russia and other countries, and restricting oil exports to the North. <br/><br/>In yesterday's meeting, Chinese UN Ambassador Liu Jieyi said China strongly urges North Korea to face up to the firm will of the international community on the issue of denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. He urged the North to comply with past Security Council resolutions. <br/><br/>Russian Ambassador Vassily Nebenzya said resolutions aimed solely at sanctioning North Korea have not worked well before. North Korea said it tested a hydrogen bomb that could be mounted on a missile on Sunday and that its biggest ever nuclear detonation had been a perfect success.
