US partially resumes issuing visas in Turkey

The US government has partially resumed issuing visas in Turkey after visa services were suspended last month. <br/><br/>The announcement of the resumption of limited visa services for Turks was made by the US embassy in Ankara on Monday. <br/><br/>In a statement the US Embassy said that the security posture has improved sufficiently to allow for the resumption of limited visa services in that country. <br/><br/>Turkey's embassy in Washington has also said it will process visa applications from US citizens on a limited basis. <br/><br/>Last month, US missions suspended all non-immigrant visa services after Turkey's arrest of a US consulate employee. <br/><br/>The US worker was held over suspected links to a cleric blamed for last year's failed coup in Turkey.
