US and Pakistani officials are meeting in Washington today to begin a third round of strategic dialogue aimed at strengthening ties and easing recent tension. The three-day talks are focusing on defence, agriculture, water and law enforcement. At a meeting with the Pakistani delegation, President Barack Obama said he will not visit Pakistan during a trip to Asia next month, but he is committed to visiting there next year.
