US orders nonessential diplomats to leave Yemen

In Yemen, as heavy fighting continues between security forces and tribesmen, the United States has ordered non-essential diplomats and private American citizens to leave the country. The State Department says the security threat is extremely high due to terrorist activity and civil unrest. BBC quoting eye witnesses reports that the fighting in capital Sanna'h is intensifying with mortar and machine gun fire in residential areas. The clashes, between supporters and opponents of the President, Ali Abdullah Saleh, are said to have broken out close to the airport. Flights were diverted to the south of the country.
