In the US Open, Sloane Stephens shocked 9th seed Venus Williams in the first all-American women's Semifinal, defeating the two-time champion, 6-1, 0-6, 7-5, this morning. Stephens, who is playing after returning from foot surgery, moves on to her first Grand Slam final. The other all-American semifinal between CoCo Vandeweghe and Madison Keys is currently underway. Keys has won the first set 6-1. In women's doubles, Sania Mirza of India along with her Chinese partner has entered the semifinal of the women's doubles. The duo defeated the Hungarian-Czech pair of Timea Babos and Andrea Hlavackova 7-6, 6-4.
