India 's challenge in the US Open ended as Sania Mirza and her Chinese partner Shuai Peng knocked out after losing in straight seta 6-4,6-4 to the pair of Martina Hingis and Yung-Jan Chan in the women's doubles semi-final today. Sania reached her first Grand Slam semi-final of the 2017 season with Peng after edging past Timea Babos and Andrea Hlavackova. The fourth seeded Indo-Chinese pair dispatched the fifth seeded Hungarian-Czech combo 7-6, 6-4 in the quarter-final which lasted one hour and 56 minutes.
