In the US Open Tennis, Sania Mirza and her English partner Colin Fleming entered the mixed doubles second round, but the Mahesh Bhupathi-Rohan Bopanna combo made a shock first-round exit from the men's doubles event in New York.Sania and Colin defeated the British-American combination of Andrea Petkovic and Eric Butorac 6-2, 7-6. In men's doubles, Bhupathi and Bopanna, were defeated 3-6, 6-7 by unseeded Australians Matthew Ebden and Bernard Tomic. While fifth-seeded Indo-Czech duo of Leander Paes -Radek Stepanek sailed into the second round outplaying the unseeded German combo of Dustin Brown and Christopher Kas 6-3, 6-3.
