In Tennis, world number one Rafael Nadal will clash with South African Kevin Anderson later tonight in the title clash of the US Open, the fourth and final Grand Slam of the season, in New York. While 28th seed Anderson will be playing his maiden Grand Slam Final, Nadal will be looking to bag his 16th major title in his 23rd summit clash appearance. Both players have met four times in the past, with Nadal winning all of those matches. Nadal has had a spectacular year, so far. He had reached the Australian Open Final before winning the French Open, his first Grand Slam in three years. The Spaniard had regained the number one ranking last month. In Women's Singles last night, unseeded American Sloane Stephens lifted her first Grand Slam title after she defeated compatriot Madison Keys, seeded 15th, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0. Stephens was ranked 957th six weeks ago, having only returned from 11 months out due to injury at Wimbledon. The Mixed Doubles trophy was won by the top seeded Swiss-British team of Martina Hingis and Jamie Murray. Hingis will be seen in action in Women's Doubles Final today. She and her Taiwanese team-mate Yung-Jan Chan, seeded 2nd, will take on the seventh placed Czech duo of Lucie Hradecka and Katerina Siniakova.
