Defending champions and third seeds Leander Paes and Lukas Dlouhy have crashed out of the Men's Doubles in the U.S. Open Tennis tournament . In a first round fixture in New York last night, the third-seeded Indo-Czech pair lost to the Czech-Slovakian combination of Martin Damm and Filip Polasek in three sets 6-7, 6-3, 6-4. However, the Indo-Pak duo of Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi advanced to the men's doubles second round. The 16th seeded pair defeated Americans Brian Battistone and Ryler DeHeart 6-3, 7-6. Paes has been a two-time champion (2006 and 2009) andthree-time runners-up at the Grand Slam event with differentpartners. Interestingly, the Indian veteran's 2006 titletriumph at the Flushing Meadows came with Damm.
