At the U.S. Open Tennis, Czech 10th seed Karolina Pliskova will take on new World No. 1 Angelique Kerber of Germany in the Women's Singles final, shorty after midnight tonight. the semi-finals played on Thursday night, while Pliskova upset top seeded American Serena Williams in straight sets, second seed Kerber also defeated Caroline Wozniaki of Denmark in straight sets. Pliskova will be playing her first Grand Slam final, while for Kerber, it will be her third Grand Slam final appearance this year. She won the Australian Open beating Serena Williams and fell to the same player in the Wimbledon Title match.The Men's final between Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka is slated for Sunday night.
