The Indo-Brazilian pair of Sania Mirza and Bruno Soares have cruised into the final of the mixed doubles event at the US Open. The pair defeated Yung-Jan Chan of Chinese Taipei and Britain's Ross Hutchins for 7-5, 4-6,10-7 in a nail biting match played at the Louis Armstrong stadium.Sania Mirza is scheduled to figure in a Women's Doubles semi finals event today. The Indo-Zimbabwean duo of Sania Mirza and Cara Black will take on the Italian-Swiss combination of Flavia Pennetta and Martina Hingis later today.In Men's sinlges event, Japan's Kei Nishikori advanced to the semi finals after a grueling five set win over Australian Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka. Nishikori beat third seed Wawrinka 3-6, 7-5, 7-6, 6-7 and 6-4, to become the first Japanese male representative in almost a century to reach the last four of a major. Nishikori will meet the winner of the high-voltage match between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, which also takes place later today.
