The Year's fourth and final Grand Slam Tennis tournament, the US Open, has begun at Flushing Meadows in New York. Rafael Nadal is top seed in Men's singles section and Karolina Pliskova is the top seed in Women's Singles event. Half of the world's top ten players are not playing in the tournament due to injury breaks. Nadal, back on top of the world rankings for the first time in three years, will be seeking his 16th Grand Slam Crown, while Federer, the five-time US Open champion is bidding for a 20th major and third Grand Slam title of the year. Among the notable players who will be seen in action tonight are: Maria Sharapova, Simona Halep, Garbine Muguruza and Venus Williams in women's section and Marin Cilic and John Isner in the men's section. Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna are among the Indians who will be playing in the Doubles competitions in the ongoing tournament.
