The Chief of Naval Operations of the US Navy, Admiral Gary Roughead visited the headquarters of the Southern Naval Command in Kochi on Thursday. Admiral Roughead, who arrived in Kochi by a special aircraft, held discussions with the Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of the Southern Naval Command, Vice Admiral K N Sushil. The visiting Admiral was given a briefing on the training activities of the Southern Naval Command. He also visited the Navigation and Direction School of the Indian Navy. Admiral Roughead is visiting India at the invitation of the Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Nirmal Verma.
