The Obama administration is preparing to host the re-launch of Middle East peace talks in Washington. According to reports, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas will participate in these talks, which will be resumed after the break of eighteen months. Before the talks, US President Barack Obama will host separate meetings this evening with Abbas and Netanyahu at the White House apart from King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt. Analysts say it will be interesting to watch how talks progress while both parties have divergent views on settlement issue in occupied Palestinian areas of West Bank and east Jerusalem apart from other matters.
