US has lifted the Admiral's Cup in the sixth edition of the sailing regatta organised by the Indian Naval Academy (INA), at the Ettikulum Bay near Ezhimala in Kannur district of Kerala. China is the runner up while four-time champions India came third. In the individual position, Ebrahim Showaiter of Saudi Arabia stood first in the open category , while Gary Preto of USA and Ahmed Abdulla Salman Dawood Sadeq of Behrain came second and third respectively. Hannah Hughes of USA topped in the individual position of women's category. A total of 19 countries countries including India participated in the sailing regatta, which comprised nine races spanning three days. As the hosting country, India had two teams – one from the INA and the second from the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla. Vice admiral Ajit Kumar P, Commandant, INA, who was the chief guest in the concluding ceremony, presented the Admiral's Cup and individual prizes to the winners.
