In Somalia, the latest US-led airstrike killed 35 extremists near the Ethiopian border. The extremists belonged to al-Shabab group which owes allegiance to al-Qaeda. The US military command for the African continent said Sunday's airstrike targeted the terrorists as they were travelling in a rural area about 23 miles east of Beledweyne in central Hiran region.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;"><br />''The US has dramatically increased airstrikes against al-Shabab since President Donald Trump took office. The military has carried out 16 such strikes this year.
