US introduces draft resolution at UN for new sanctions against Iran

The United States has introduced a draft resolution at the United Nations to impose tough new sanctions against Iran. The resolution calls for the international inspection of Iranian shipping and tough measures against Iran's banking sector. It also bans Tehran from sensitive overseas activities like uranium mining and developing ballistic missiles. Earlier, the US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton said that China and Russia have supported the draft sanctions resolution against Iran. But China has supported a nuclear fuel swap deal Iran has signed with Brazil and Turkey and appreciated diplomatic efforts to seek an appropriate solution to the issue. <br/>
