The United States is in discussion with India to understand the potential impact of the increase in fee of categories of H-1B and L1 visas on Indian companies.US State Department spokesman P J Crowley told reporters in Washington that the US have been explaining to the Indian Government the specifics in the legislation, and trying to understand the potential impact on Indian companies. He said beyond that he was not sure that there was any particular next step. India has expressed its concern over the new Border Security Bill legislation passed by the US President Barack Obama. The new law would allow increase in fee of certain categories of visa to raise more than 550 million dollars which would be utilized to enhance the security of the US-Mexico border.
