US house passes Iran Petrol sanctions bill

The US House of Representatives has passed legislation that would give President Obama more power to levy sanctions to deter Iran from pursuing its nuclear programme. If also approved by the Senate, the new law would restrict Iran's ability to import refined petroleum by imposing stiffer penalties on any company which helps it do so.
