Marking the fulfillment of a decades-long goal of the Democratic party, the US House of Representatives passed the sweeping health care reform package, giving a political victory to President Barack Obama who had staked his presidency on the passage of this bill.<br/><br/>The historic vote was passed by 219 to 210 votes.<br/><br/>This gave the much needed political victory to US President Barack Obama who had staked his presidency on the passage of this historic health care bill.<br/><br/>The bill now goes to the White House for the US President, Barack Obama, to sign it into law.<br/><br/>Mr Obama is scheduled to make a statement on the passage of the bill from the White House very soon.<br/><br/>The enactment of comprehensive health care legislation would rank as one of the most significant pieces of social welfare legislation in the country's history, a goal about half-a-century back and pursued since by many other presidents.<br/><br/>It is one of the several measures taken by the Obama Government to improve the life styles of common people.<br/><br/>The health plan would be focusing on increasing the coverage benefits provided by the insurance companies. The health care plan would also enforce the insurance companies to make their refund system more transparent and user friendly.<br/>
