US Middle East envoy George Mitchell will meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Friday for the third time in a week in an attempt to reach a consensus to restart Middle East peace talks. <br/> <br/>He is trying to persuade Israel to agree to a freeze in settlement activities in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. So far, Netanyahu has only agreed to a partial cessation. <br/> <br/>Palestinians say they are ready to resume peace talks with Israel if the Jewish state stops settlement construction in the West Bank.<br/> <br/>During his visit to Middle East, George Mitchell visited Egypt and Ramallah apart from Jordan and Lebanon to convince various stakeholders on the pressing need of talks.
