In the United States, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has tweeted that he would never drop out of the race. <br/><br/>He said the media and establishment were trying to thwart his candidacy with the release of a 2005 video recording making his lewd remarks about women. <br/><br/>The billionaire businessman said the highly publicized recording should be nothing more than a distraction during the remaining weeks of the campaign before 8th November's Presidential poll. <br/><br/>He indicated he will refocus his arguments against his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton, by arguing that former President Bill Clinton, her husband, has committed far worse misdeeds against women.<br/><br/>Trump and Hillary Clinton are due to appear together tonight in the second of three debates scheduled during the final weeks of the campaign.<br/><br/>Earlier, Utah Senator Mike Lee called on Trump to drop out of the race, calling him a distraction from the important issues that the country is facing today. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, Senator John McCain, a senior figure in the Republican Party who was its 2008 presidential nominee, formally withdrew his support for Donald Trump over lewd remarks.
