US Deputy Secretary of State James B Steinberg will reach Dhaka on Thursday on a two day visit to Bangladesh. Mr. Steinberg who is the Principal Deputy to US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the senior most official of President Barack Obama's administration to visit Bangladesh so far. Mr. Steinberg is scheduled to hold discussions with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, Commerce Minister Muhammad Faruq Khan and Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia during his visit. His discussions with the Bangladesh leaders is expected to focus on both bilateral and multilateral issues which include development issues, climate change and co-operation to combat terrorism.
