In Pakistan, at least six people were killed and several others injured in two U.S. drone strikes this morning in the northwest tribal area of Kurram Agency. According to local state-owned TV channel PTV, a total of four missiles were fired at a vehicle and a militant hideout in two different places of Kurram Agency. Another local media report said two missiles were fired at a vehicle moving in the mountainous Khardand area of Kurram Agency, which is very close to Afghanistan. This is the first U.S. drone strike reported in Kurram Agency since this year. Prior to this, most of the U.S. drone strikes have been carried out in North and South Waziristan area, believed to be two main strongholds of militants hiding along the Pakistan- Afghanistan border area.
