On the eve of second anniversary of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, the US today declared three top operatives of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba as “global terrorists”. It also slapped sanctions against a charity group, Falah-i-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), closely linked to the terror outfit and Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The foundation had provided humanitarian assistance to Pakistanis displaced by recent floods. State Department's Coordinator for Counter-terrorism Ambassador Daniel Benjamin said, LeT has attempted to use FIF as a way to evade scrutiny. He said, this designation will help put to an end that attempted evasion.Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said, resolve and resilience are more powerful than any terrorist guns and bombs. In a message to India on the eve of 2nd anniversary of Mumbai terror attacks, she said, the United States stands in solidarity with India, to honour those who lost their lives in these attacks.
