Pakistani origin Chicago resident Tahawwur Hussein Rana has been indicted by a federal grand jury in the US on charges of helping plan the 26/11 Mumbai attack and plotting attack on Danish Newspaper. He was also charged for providing material support to terrorism or a terrorist organisation like Lashkar-e-Taiba. Rana has remained in Federal Custody in Chicago since he was arrested on 18th October, last year. The superseding indictment also contains similar charges filed on 7th December, last year against David Coleman Headley. He was also charged for hatching conspiracy involving bombing in public places in India, murdering and maiming persons in India and Denmark, providing material support to foreign terrorist plots and providing material support to LeT.
