The US has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir and said it remains firm on its commitment to work with India to defeat terrorism in all forms. A senior State Department official said, yesterday's terrorist attacks in Kashmir claimed the lives of innocent civilians, military, and police personnel.

Earlier yesterday, the State Department had expressed concern about any violence in the state and said that its policies on Jammu and Kashmir have not changed. State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf, said, the US still believe that the pace and the scope and character of India and Pakistan's dialogue on Kashmir is for those two countries to determine.
