The US Administration has condemned what it called renewed atrocities by Libyan forces loyal to Col Gaddafi. In a statement, the Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton said that mercenaries had attacked civilians in the Western city of Misrata. Separately, Pentagon has revealed that US war planes continue to play part in the bombing raids notwithstanding President Obama’s announcement weeks ago that America would withdraw to a supporting role.
