US condemns Pune bomb blast

The United States has strongly condemned the Pune bombing and said that cooperation in counter-terrorism is a key element of Washinton's bilateral relationship with New Delhi. The US State Department Acting Spokesman, Gordon Duguid, speaking in Washington, expressed condolences to the families of the victims of the Pune blast. He said, the US and India are working together as never before to combat terrorism. Mr. Duguid said this involved enhanced collection of information, intelligence sharing, and analysis capabilities. He said, the information shared by the two countries so far has been quite unprecedented, and the US intend to continue to working with India to protect both societies from these types of attacks
