The United States has strongly condemned the killing of Afghan President Hamid Karzai's brother Ahmad Wali Karzai and said America will help the Afghan government find the killers and bring them to justice. Ahmad Wali Karzai was shot dead by his bodyguard on Tuesday at his home in Kandhar in Afghanistan. Fifty year old Ahmad Wali Karzai was the leader of Kandahar Provincial Council and one of the top politicians in the country. Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.White House Spokesman Jay Carney said the United States condemns the incident in the strongest possible terms. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the US Foreign Secretary and Senator John Kerry Head of Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate expressed their condolences to Mr Hamid Karzai and the people of Afghanistan and condemned the terrorist act.Many world leaders including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, French President Nikola Sarkozy, Tajik President Imam Ali Rahmanov, Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yosuf Raza Gilani have condemned the killing and conveyed their condolences to the Afghan President. In Afghanistan, the body of Ahmad Wali Karzai, was laid to rest today in his ancestral village Karz in Kandahar province. Afghan President Hamid Karzai, high ranking government officials, politicians and thousands of mourners attended the burial ceremony amidst tight security and gave a tearful farewell to the departed leader.AIR Kabul correspondent reports, agency reports said two explosions were heard in Kandahar city soon after the burial, the cause of the blast could not be known immediately.
