The White House has said the test-firing by Iran of a missile which is believed to be capable of reaching Israel and much of the rest of the Middle East, undermines its assertions that its intentions are peaceful. A White House spokesman said Iran's actions would increase the resolve to hold it accountable for its continued defiance of its international obligations.<br/><br/>Iran said that SAJJIL-2 missile would be a strong deterrent against attack and could be launched more quickly than a version it had previously tested.<br/>
