US cautions India against terror attacks

In a fresh advisory, the US today warned of imminent terror attacks in New Delhi, particularly in market places like Connaught Place, Greater Kailash, Sarojini Nagar, Karol Bagh and Chandni Chowk. The renewed advisory primarily intended for American citizens in India says market places are attractive targets for terrorist groups. It said there are increased indications that terrorists are planning imminent attacks in New Delhi. The advisory noted that terrorists have targeted places in the past where U.S. citizens or Westerners are known to congregate or visit. It advised American citizens that if they are in an area where unattended packages are spotted, they should immediately exit the area and report the packages to authorities.<br/>
