The US today said it can just encourage India and Pakistan to resume their stalled composite dialogue but it cannot dictate solutions. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in Islamabad, while interacting with women civil society leaders. Her remarks came a day after she appealed to India and Pakistan to resolve their differences for the benefit of regional trade and economic development. India suspended the composite dialogue process after the Mumbai attacks in November last year, which it blamed on Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Toiba. It wants Pakistan to take action against perpetrators of the attacks for resumption of the talks.On the situation in the neighbouring country, She said, America is not losing the war in Afghanistan, but acknowledged the Taliban hasmomentum. In significant comments before Obama unveils his newAfPak strategy, Clinton said the new approach will be different. In another interview to NBC television, Clinton said US presence in the troubled Afghanistan "is not an open-ended, never-ending commitment.
