US attends Hiroshima memorial for 1st time

The Japanese city of Hiroshima is marking the 65th anniversary of the world's first atomic bomb attack with the United States taking part in the annual ceremony for the first time. The memorial ceremonies are also being attended by Britain, France and the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon. Altogether, 75 countries are represented. About 140 thousand people were killed or died within months when an American war plane dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
