The United States has announced two billion Dollars military assistance to Pakistan. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in Washington on Friday that the assistance is for a five-year period from 2012. She said, the new security assistance package to Pakistan will be in addition to 7.5 billion dollar civilian aid given to that country under the Kerry-Lugar bill.
