US Ambassador to India Richard Verma arrived in Agartala on a two-day visit to Tripura. After arriving in Agartala yesterday evening, Mr Verma called on the state Chief Minister Manik Sarkar. US Ambassador said given the current developments in the region including Tripura in various sectors, issues like Infrastructure, Development, Governance, Education, Power and Trade came up during his interaction with Manik Sarkar. During the meeting, the US Ambassador also discussed about forthcoming 'Connectivity Summit' to be organized by US Consulate of Kolkata in near future which is most likely to deliberate on issues related to connectivity linking the North Eastern Region. <br/> <br/>Today, he will visit the Tripura Sundari Temple at Matabari in Udaipur city and State Museum in Agartala. He will also observe the beating the Retreat program by the border guards of India and Bangladesh at Agartala-Akhaura border.
