US admits unauthorised release of secret documents will make diplomats job more difficult

The US today admitted that the unauthorised release of secret documents of the US by the WikiLeaks giving an insight into American diplomacy will make the jobs of its diplomats more difficult. State Department spokesman P J Crowley told reporters in Washington that for a period of time, this is going to make day-to-day conduct of diplomacy much more difficult. He said, someGovernment officials that have talked freely in the past may be more reluctant. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs BillBurns briefed the Congress on this issue a day earlier. He said, US is not happy at the release of these documents and countries and leaders looking at the documents out of context are not happy as well.He said Washington will continue its diplomatic outreach and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is already having many conversations in this regard.
