The White House termed as criminal the stealing and dissemination of classified information by a whistleblower website WikiLeaks. However it insisted that the disclosures would not impact America's ability to conduct its foreign policy. US Attorney General Eric Holder said a criminal investigation is underway against WikiLeaks and any individual involved in breaking US law, be it an American or foreigner, will be held accountable. The Obama Administration has already ordered a review of the handling of secret government documents in view of the release of massive sets of cables WikiLeaks. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton blasted the release of confidential US cables by website, terming it as an attack not only on US but on the international community as a whole.
