UPSC announces result of Civil Services Prelims Exam 2012

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2012.

Lakhs of students had taken the examination at different centres across the country on May 20 this year. The result carrying roll numbers of the successful candidates has been put up on the UPSC website. The result of one candidate has been withheld.

The candidates can also obtain information on all working days from the facilitation counter near the Examination Hall Building inside UPSC campus.tituent Assembly are not possible on November 22. Addressing a press conference in Kathmandu today, acting Election Commissioner Neel Kant Uprety said that the elections cannot be held as parties failed to amend the Interim Constitution and election regulations.

The Commission also pointed out that there would be no credibility of the elections if the political parties do not have consensus over the issue. The Election Commission had set a deadline of July 22 to remove legal and constitutional difficulties by amending election related Acts and the interim constitution to hold the election on the stipulated date and has extended the date by one week.
