Andhra Pradesh Assembly has been adjourned till the end of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) Meeting today. Speaker N. Manohar adjourned the House within minutes after it met this morning.Members belonging to Telangana and Seemandhra regions obstructed the proceedings again over the issue of discussion on the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill, 2013. The Bill was tabled yesterday amidst pandemonium as the members from Telangana region wanted an immediate discussion while MLAs from Seemandhra region demanded for a resolution seeking united Andhra Pradesh.

The impasse continued as the members from both sides stuck to their stand when the House met this morning. The speaker adjourned the House when his repeated pleas to take up the listed business yielded no results. He also refused to take up separate adjournment motion notices given by members on the same issue.

Meanwhile, the BAC meeting is expected to decide the time schedule of the discussion over the Reorganization Bill which seeks bifurcation of the state to create a new state of Telangana.
