Uproar in Parliament over missing coal files and petro price hike

The issues of missing coal files and hike in the petroleum products stalled proceedings in the Rajya Sabha which witnessed four adjournments in the pre-lunch session today. The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned till 2 pm.
Earlier, the Lok Sabha took up Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority Bill, 2011 for consideration and passing. The Bill was tabled by Finance Minister P. Chidambaram. Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the House following noisy scenes even as the discussion on the Bill was continuing. The BJP members trooped into the well, raising the issue of missing files relating to coal block allocation and the Left members were demanding roll back of the petrol and diesel prices
