The Jammu and Kashmir Assembly was on Wednesday adjourned thrice due to slogan shouting and uproarious scenes. The House was scheduled to take up a Private Member Resolution seeking clemency for Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru. Immediately after the House met, BJP Legislators stood up and urged the Speaker to drop the clemancy resolution. They raised slogans and denounced the resolution. The Congress members also rushed to the well of the House raising slogans against BJP members and urged the Speaker to take action against those BJP members who have been expelled from the party for cross voting in the legislative council election. As the pandemonium continued the House was adjourned for half an hour. When it met again there was no change in the scene and the house was adjourned for one hour. The house again reassembled at 12 o'clock, the pandemonium continued and the Speaker adjourned the House for the day.
