The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Monday witnessed unruly scenes with members of the Opposition and the ruling parties including Ministers indulging in scuffles on the issues of land allocation to Special Economic Zones in the State. Agriculture Minister Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy came to near blows and pushing the Opposition members leading to pandemonium in the House. The opposition TDP has been stalling the proceedings of the House for the past one week demanding a Joint Legislature Committee to look into the misappropriations in the land allocations. The whole drama unfolded when the House assembled in the morning and the Depty Speaker N. Manohar tried to pacify the agitating members to take up the listed business. Irked over a placard shown by Opposition members depicting former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy in an unparliamentary manner, the Members grabed the placard, tore it and came to near blows with the opposition. The Deputy Speaker adjourned the House for some time amidst the pandemonium. AIR correspondent reports the altercation between a group of MLAs from ruling benches including Ministers and the Opposition members led to unruly situations and the marshals had to struggle for over 15 minutes to separate them.
