Supreme Court has declined the plea of CBI for an opportunity to advance arguments on points left out in Uphaar fire tragedy case.<br/><br/>The apex court asked CBI to file a review plea in the case.<br/><br/> The Supreme Court yesterday ruled that Ansal brothers, convicts in the 1997 Uphaar fire tragedy, will not be sent to the jail.<br/><br/>However, the court imposed a fine of Rs. 60 crores on them, to be paid to Delhi government, which will decide what has to be done with the money.<br/><br/>The real estate barons – Gopal and Sushil Ansal were convicted in 2014.<br/><br/>59 people, trapped in the balcony of the theatre, died of asphyxia following the fire and over 100 were injured in subsequent stampede on June 13, 1997 during the screening of Bollywood film "Border".
