The government has said, upgradation of skill of youth engaged in Agriculture is very crucial in increasing farm productivity. Inaugurating the national workshop on Agricultural development through skill development in New Delhi today, Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh said, the youth is required to be linked with agriculture in the form of an enterprise. <br/><br/>The Minister said, farmers must engage themselves in production-focused agriculture. He said, sources like those of horticulture, livestock, bee-keeping must be explored to enhance the income of the farmers. He said, employment opportunities have been generated for the skilled youth in the fields of agri-warehousing, cold chains, dairy, poultry and many other allied fields due to the sophisticated development in agricultural arena. Agriculture Ministry has made a budget provision of 3.52 crore rupees for the year 2016-17 for implementation of work related to skill development.
