BJP says, the decline in the GDP growth rate is due to wrong policies adopted by the UPA government. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, senior party leader, Murli Manohar Joshi alleged that the government is trying to follow wrong economic fundamentals from the West, which have failed there.

Dr Joshi expressed apprehensions that the GDP will further come down if the government allows FDI in multi-brand retail sector.
