Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tiwari today said the UPA Government will complete its full term.
Speaking to reporters after visiting party state headquarters-Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad , the minister said the UPA has got a mandate for five years and it will complete its full term.
Stating that his party always walked an extra mile to take its allies on board, he said the party’s commitment to the people is paramount.
On hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, Mr. Tiwari urged the opposition parties to rise above party-lines on issues pertaining to national security.
Stating that the manner in which the statements issued by the BJP and other opposition parties is condemnable, Mr Tiwari said national security is a sensitive issue, and the opposition parties should act responsibly on such issues.
He also urged the media to play caution while dealing with law and order issues.
On Statehood demand for Telangana, the Minister said the Government has understood the sensibilities involved in the issue.
He asked people to be patient as it requires sensitive handling. Mr. Tiwari urged youth not to be emotional on Telangana issue and maintain calm.
