UPA govt will address CMs’ concern over NCTC: Cong

Reiterating the government's stand on the issue of operationalisation of National Counter Terrorism Centre, NCTC, the Congress on Monday said that UPA government will address the concerns of those Chief Ministers of States who have raised observations on this issue.

Briefing reporters in New Delhi, the party spokesman Manish Tiwary said, both the Prime Minister and Home Minister have already said that the the government is ready for consultations with the concerned States on this issue. He said that a consultation process has already been started in this regard.

On the issue of Gems and Jewellaries associations' strike against their demands of withdrawal of excise duty on unbranded Jewellery, Mr. Tiwary expressed the hope that Congress led UPA government will soon find a constructive solution in this regard.
